The Winery

1931

José L. Ferrer builds the oldest part of the winery

The oldest, the one from 1931, built by the founder. It has typical cement tanks of the time, with a capacity of 15,000 liters each. They are still used today for the fermentation and storage of our wines.

The most emblematic cellar is also from this period and it is where the largest format wines rest during aging in the bottle.

Next to the 1931 cellar, we find a small extension of it, carried out by José L. Ferrer in 1960 in order to acquire more capacity. This cellar has 6 cement tanks with a capacity of 30,000 liters each and more space to store barrels for wine aging.

1995

The Roses Ferrer brothers carry out a large expansion

The next major expansion was in 1995 by the Roses Ferrer brothers, grandchildren of the founder. Here a more modern and period air is clearly perceived, due to the predominance of stainless steel, both in its two hoppers and in the 14 35,000-litre tanks for fermentation and with a temperature regulation mechanism. In this part there are also the two cellars, in two basements at different levels, with a capacity for 2,000 barrels.
